My Real Estate Internship in Costa del Sol

Last summer I graduated at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University. Before the graduation, I took a chance and applied for a great opportunity to do an internship abroad via Erasmus program.

The 4 months of interning certainly was one of the best time I have ever had, even though I had to work 5 days a week. I was working in a small real estate company as an Assistant of the Director. My daily activities included many different tasks ranging from  preparing material for the meetings, market researches, dealing with partners, arranging meetings with clients, showing properties, placing advertisements online to looking for potential partners.

The team I was working with was very diverse. In total, we were 10 people, of whom only two were local Spanish people. My colleagues were from all other the world: Germany, Bulgaria, Japan, Argentina, Austria, Morocco and Spain. Working in such an international environment is a great experience and at the same time you can learn a lot from them, as well as, have a lot of fun.

As I had been studying construction business and real estate, this was the perfect place for me to start my career. I had an opportunity to learn how the daily business works and learn a lot about the Spanish real estate market. All the knowledge I got will be very useful in my future career and it doesn’t matter where and in which field I will decide to continue.

I encourage every student to take a chance and go for an exchange or internship abroad. It will change your life and you definitely won’t regret it!
