Praktika Lundo universitete

Our life is changing highly fast. I have noticed that time flys extremely speedily during my last Erasmus internship program. I would like to share my impression from Erasmus+internship mobility in Lund University, Faculty of Engineering, LTH, Department of Technology and Society.

To introduce myself, I am a final year master’s degree student of Civil Engineering at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University (VGTU). I decided to use an opportunity of participation in Erassmus+internship mobility for three months before my graduation.

During my internship, I was involved in the Europian project InDeV as an assistance in a research project on surrogate safety measures for vulnerable road users. I have got a lot of new important knowledge and skills. I have learnt a lot: the methodology for surrogate safety studies, the technical tools for video processing and analysis of the safety-critical situations found in video. I have taken a conflict observation course for 5 days. And now I have fulfilled the requirements as a trained conflict observer according to the Swedish Traffic Conflicts Technique. My experience is a big gift for my future career.

The schedule of the internship was organized in the best way. It was an amazing and unforgettable period of my life. I participated in workshops and training, got some experience from field works.

It was a pleasure to become a part of closely knit and friendly collective of the department. A lot of activities were organizing on the faculty so I didn’t have time to feel boring.

I know that will miss my staying in Sweden for sure! I will miss this beautiful student’s city Lund, my everyday cycling walks, this amazing nature…These friendly people who are ready to help you at any time and to make your stay more enjoyable in their native country.

The main thing which I have got that this journey changed me a lot. I feel like more confident right now and ready to reach a new top.

You are so close to your dream. Do not be afraid to come closer to it. Take your chance.
