Praktika Lietuvos Respublikos ambasadoje prie Šventojo Sosto ir Maltos Ordino
In September – December, 2016 I have spent in Italy, Rome, working as an intern at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Holy See and Sovereign Order of Malta. Through this internship my aim was to gain more experience in the field of international relations and diplomatic service as well as to participate in a daily routine of the Embassy. During my stay I was involved into many activities – collecting and classifying valuable information, doing media analysis, building Embassy‘s archyve, helping to organise various events where I had a possibility to demonstrate my communicational and organisational skills and make a contribution to the Embassy’s everyday tasks and problem solving. Also I had a great chance to improve my italian language skills. The Embassy’s staff was extremely helpful and helped me to fully integrate and became a part of the whole team, which was crucial for the positive and fruitful result. Having said this, working tasks in Embassy and especially time I spend working abroad was a great opportunity to improve my critical and analytical thinking, also specific professional knowledge I gained will be very useful in my future job. Finally, chance to participate in Erasmus+ internship at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Holy See and Sovereign Order of Malta gave me many benefits in my educational, social and cultural understanding, expanded my social circle and opened up new horizons in my professional life. As well as my huge personal interest in international relations, diplomacy, and relationship between states and international organisations only grew , I am truly thankful for the posibillity to get more experience in this field and I strongly believe that my knowledge will rise to a higher level.
