Internship in Turkey

Radvilė Džiuvytė

This year I had an opportunity to have an international experience by having an internship abroad. Six months I was working in the southern Turkey at wonderful resort of Bodrum. I worked as a guide assistant. It wasn’t my first job abroad, but I will never forget this experience where I have learned something new every day.

I represented the organization in airport and resort. I solved conflicts and provided help for tourists 24/7. My main tasks were to meet tourists in airport and lead them to hotels, to organize “info meetings” with tourists and assist the guide in excursions. I updated the excursion programs and checked information about hotels. Working with professionals in the field of tourism, making contacts, this is just a small part of what I have learned from using this program. The world has become smaller for me.

To sum up, I am very happy that I had this opportunity to improve as a professional. During the internship I traveled a lot. I met a lot of wonderful people, visited beautiful places that I have never been before and of course I became more open to other cultures. I recommend Erasmus+ program for everyone because it is priceless experience.
