Internship in the Irish Exporters Association
Over the past four months I have been interning as a Consular Assistant in the Irish Exporters Association (IEA) where each day I have been communicating with members, answering their questions and giving them advice on how they should go about obtaining visas and legalizing their documents. During my internship and the process of working with different embassies while addressing their requirements, it has become clear to me how valuable it is to have good personal and relationship-building skills, thus I have been working hard to nurture strong bonds not only with our customers, but also with the Embassy’s staff on a daily basis. My colleagues have been very helpful, they not only were providing me with advices at work, but also found some time to show me the city. To sum up, the internship was useful, I have gained office work experience and strengthened my communication skills.
