HR/administrative internship in Italy
Monika Bužavaitė
The last six months I have spent in the first capital of Italy, fabulous city – Turin and accomplished my Erasmus internship at Valuetech, a company which operates in IT field, as HR/administrative intern. It was unforgettable experience and I will never regret my decision to take the last chance of participating in Erasmus program as recent graduate, because due to this experience I grew up not only as professional, but also as person and got familiar with Italian culture.
At Valuetech I found not only the friendly working environment and collaborative colleagues, but I also had opportunity to participate in Human Resources Management process of the company. This opportunity was very important for me, because it was the main object of my studies and finally I could practically see how managers of the company own this process and also assist them. My main task was to support all the recruiting phases of new employees, in particular being in charge of job postings and applications screening. I was also responsible for employees’ timesheets filling on time, assistance in preparation of employees working hours’ monthly report and payroll process. During the internship I also learned a lot about the ways how company can increase web visibility and participated in this process by assisting in website and social networks maintenance.
All in all, I am very happy that I had such opportunity to improve as a professional and prepare for my further career. But it is not the only things I feel grateful for. I also met a lot of wonderful people, visited some marvelous places that I have never been before and of course I became more broad-minded, more open to other cultures and now I am feeling more European. I highly recommend for everyone to participate in Erasmus+ program, because it is priceless and unforgettable experience that will make your life more colorful!
